About the Role:

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal issues affecting the company, primarily focusing on sell-side contracting with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters, drafting client-facing agreements, participating in external sell-side negotiations, providing practical and implementable solutions to stakeholders, and addressing compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize sell-side contracts with Indian clients.
  • Support Sales teams in client negotiations, requests for quotes (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and other forms of solicitations for Gartner services.
  • Maintain a repository of sell-side client agreements through effective data records management using the CLM tool.
  • Collaborate with Gartner's Pricing, Finance, and Deal Hub Teams to support the development of price proposals for Gartner sell-side client agreements.
  • Streamline communications between stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Support the Legal team in global, regional, and local initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, data protection, cyber security, real estate, ethics, and compliance.
  • Conduct legal and compliance training as needed to create awareness and equip employees in understanding policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in laws applicable to Gartner and prepare internal updates.
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to internal and external business stakeholders, including advising on key risks and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Mandatory 5-7 years' PQE negotiating sell-side contracts with client legal departments.
  • Relevant experience in a previous US MNC is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and drafting skills developed in a client-facing sales-driven environment.
