Design Engineering Team Lead Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the design and engineering of static equipment in compliance with international codes and standards.

  • The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers to develop and validate mechanical design calculations, review client specifications, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • They will guide the preparation and review of fabrication drawings, MTOs, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and vendor documents.
  • A strong understanding of project lifecycle management, leadership, and team management skills are essential for this position.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • No less than 10 years of experience in static equipment design for EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects.
Preferred Skills:

The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Strong expertise in design codes: ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & Div.2, TEMA, API 650/620, PD 5500, IS codes.
  • Proficiency in design software: PV Elite, Compress, NozzlePro, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication drawings and vendor coordination.
