  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, including processing transactions and preparing manual journal entries.
  • Daily management of the accounting inbox, ensuring timely response to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Code vendor invoices and schedule payments through BILL, an intelligent accounts payable platform.
  • Review payroll reports from Justworks and prepare corresponding journal entries.
  • Process and record bank transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and prepare customer invoicing and payment applications.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for various assets, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, capital assets, deferred revenue, and more.
  • Develop an understanding of cash timing differences between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Review and prepare Excel files analyzing general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other key metrics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to employee, vendor, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Support annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis, providing insights to drive business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field, with 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Public accounting experience is highly preferred, and holding a CPA or CA certification is a significant advantage.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience applying US GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ZOHO, or similar accounting systems is preferred.
