Job Title: Associate Director/ Director

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Indirect Tax practice in a leadership role.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a deep understanding of GST and related areas of indirect taxation, as well as excellent leadership and client management skills.

  • Lead end-to-end GST and indirect tax advisory assignments, including structuring, impact analysis, and compliance reviews.
  • Provide technical analysis on complex IDT issues, draft client memos and prepare regulatory submissions.
  • Drive litigation strategy, including preparing replies, appeals and representing clients before tax authorities.
  • Supervise and mentor teams on technical execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point.
  • Actively contribute to practice development through capability-building, thought leadership, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, judicial trends, and sector-specific IDT developments.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with 8–12 years of relevant experience in indirect taxation.
  • Strong command over GST laws, including place of supply, ITC rules, and procedural aspects. Exposure to Customs or Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) is a plus.
  • Ability to translate legal nuances into practical, business-friendly solutions.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders across clients, teams, and regulators.
  • Experience in consulting firms, boutique tax practices, or in-house tax teams preferred.
