Job Summary

The Vehicle Mechanic role entails daily inspection and maintenance of construction equipment, including heavy-duty vehicles, excavators, JCBs, and other site machinery. The ideal candidate should possess 2-5 years of experience in repairing heavy vehicles and machines, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine check-ups and perform scheduled maintenance tasks on site vehicles
  • Repair engine, brake, clutch, gearbox, hydraulic system, and electrical parts
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter cleaning, and grease checks
  • Respond to breakdowns at the site and repair promptly
  • Maintain records of service, repairs, and spare parts used
  • Report equipment problems and needs to Site Manager
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE during work
  • Keep tools, workshop, and equipment in good condition

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in repairing heavy vehicles and machines
  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during breakdowns
