Indirect Tax Advisory Specialist

Hiring for a skilled professional to join our team of experts in Indirect Tax Advisory. Based in Mumbai, this role requires exceptional research and analytical skills to deliver precision-driven advises, opinions, and compliance reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engaging PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of legal provisions to identify key tax implications.
- Develop strategic advises and opinions on tax matters with precision and accuracy.
- Prepare compelling PowerPoint presentations for client engagements, including market research and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with clients to estimate tax impact on business transactions and develop tax-efficient business models.
- Proactively engage with clients to discuss technical issues and provide expert advice on tax matters.
- Handle complex tax matters, including submissions, notices, appeals, and interactions with tax authorities.
- Manage multiple client relationships, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
- Stay up-to-date on firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
- Apply knowledge to deliver solutions to clients, bringing value to them and their managers.
- Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate them to management.
- Network internally to gain understanding of issues impacting clients.
- Compile legal databases and contribute to study sessions, staying updated on latest developments.
- Stay current with the latest developments in tax and other laws.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge management activities.
Requirements include CA or Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record and 0-2 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect tax in the field of litigation or advisory. Prior experience in Indirect Tax is preferred i.e. GST and/or customs.
