Job Title

System Administrator Position Available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud infrastructure including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using backup software such as Veeam, AWS Snapshots, Commvault, and Backup Exec.
  • Oversee automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.
  • Analyze system performance, identify trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency using monitoring platforms like Datadog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments.
  • Administer company SaaS platforms ensuring user productivity with tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior teams and act as an escalation resource for all technologies under the Platform Engineering umbrella.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
