We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Patent Law, with a proven track record of identifying potential areas for intellectual property legal risk and developing effective strategies for mitigation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing designs for potential intellectual property risks and implementing actions to de-risk products;
  • Performing advanced patent analysis, including competitor portfolio analysis and leveraging tools like data analytics for effective search and analysis of intellectual property;
  • Working closely with IP attorneys and legal associates to develop Freedom to Operate (FTO) opinions and recommending FTO decisions;
  • Planning and conducting BOM FTO reviews for new product development across automotive technology domains;
  • Releasing periodic IP alerts and reviewing concerns from stakeholders;
  • Planning and conducting searches for Freedom to Operate, state-of-art analysis, and triggering timely protection of all forms of intellectual property across major global jurisdictions;
  • Being well-versed with industry best practices and state-of-art tools for IP searches;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics, Automotive, or Material Science;
  • A degree in Intellectual Property Law or equivalent;
  • Experience in Patent Law, with a focus on Freedom to Operate analysis;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
