As a seasoned technical expert, you will oversee the design, development, and optimization of control systems for automated manufacturing equipment. This encompasses complex platforms such as corrugated box production, tissue converting, wet wipes, diaper manufacturing, and packaging machinery (VFFS/HFFS). You must provide innovative solutions to intricate automation challenges across multiple manufacturing environments.

  • Design and develop cutting-edge control systems to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Deliver technical expertise to drive system improvements and ensure product quality.
Mentorship Knowledge Transfer

You will serve as a mentor and coach to junior electrical and controls engineers, guiding them in the fields of electrical and control system design, programming, and troubleshooting. Your role involves reviewing and validating designs and programs developed by junior engineers, as well as facilitating knowledge transfer through technical documentation and training programs.

  • Coach junior engineers in developing engineering specifications and original design concepts.
  • Develop and conduct technical training programs to equip team members with industry-leading skills.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you must possess:

  • At least 15 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in packaging and converting machinery control systems.
  • Extensive experience in selecting and utilizing control system hardware.
  • Expert-level knowledge in PLC, HMI, and SCADA system design, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols.
  • Proven experience with motion control systems and servo applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Project management capabilities.
