About the Role:

  • Craft modern data warehouse solutions leveraging Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.
  • Design forward-thinking data engineering and analytics solutions that drive business insights.
  • Collaborate with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline requirements and develop strategic plans for implementation.
  • Identify and resolve issues in existing pipelines to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop data models that meet reporting needs and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Support junior team members in resolving technical challenges and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Lead technical discussions with client architects and team members to drive consensus and alignment.
  • Orchestrate data pipelines in schedulers via Airflow to ensure efficient and scalable data processing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 6+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years' experience in data warehouse/ETL projects.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in Snowflake security, SQL, and designing/implementing other objects.
  • Hands-on experience with utilities, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowsight, and connectors.
  • Deep understanding of Star and dimensional modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles and Databricks Data & AI platform.
  • Experience building ETL/data transformation processes and working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization.
