Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented financial professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights into financial variances.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation:
    • Preparation and review of the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency in the financial statements, in line with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication:
    • Collaborate with Finance Managers to ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
    • Analyze financial results and variances, providing detailed explanations and addressing queries to enhance business understanding.
    • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.
  • VAT Returns:
    • Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Support the financial management of a portfolio of properties.
    • Work closely with local teams to ensure that all financial and operational aspects are accurately reflected in the financial accounts.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in property or real estate accounting is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
