Role Description:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of cuisines, adhering to authenticity and consistency standards.
  • Organize mise-en-place and manage daily food preparation tasks.
  • Ensure accurate portion control, visually appealing plating, and maintain high kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Train and supervise junior staff in cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with requisitions as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen section.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Commis Roles:

  • Assist with preparing ingredients, sauces, and garnishes under guidance.
  • Cook standard menu items with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is ready for service.
  • Comply with kitchen hygiene regulations and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report any shortages or quality issues to senior staff.
