Senior Business Security Professional

The Senior Business Security Professional serves as a trusted advisor to business units for all information security issues. This role is a senior member of the global information security team that collaborates with other information security leaders and business teams to develop a strong understanding of business needs and guides the business in making security risk-based decisions.

Combining business acumen with technical knowledge, the Senior Business Security Professional assists in improving the information security posture by delivering services and partnering with regional/business unit leadership. The professional understands key assets and processes, identifies, and evaluates risks and controls, and suggests incremental controls or risk mitigation strategies where necessary. Additionally, the Senior Business Security Professional ensures business compliance with Information Security Policy and Standards while continuously monitoring and reporting on risks and documented exceptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on information security domains (e.g., Application Security, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, etc.) and communicate complex security issues using business language.
  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders (e.g., Line of Business, Human Resources, Legal).
  • Communicate with customers as needed to assist the business in achieving its objectives by representing the security program, supporting audits and reviews, assisting in customer communication of security incidents, etc.
  • Escalate security issues, incidents, and inquiries to the global cybersecurity team.
  • Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends.
  • Deliver presentations and interact with customers in different business areas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or business field.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, etc.).
  • Ability to translate technical/security issues to business users.
  • Ability to independently influence others to achieve objectives.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week
