Job Title: Manual QA Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Engineer with hands-on experience in e-commerce platforms to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of end-to-end testing of e-commerce workflows such as product listings, cart functionality, checkout, and payment integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Design and execute test cases (manual) for web and mobile platforms
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and UI testing for e-commerce features
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
- Validate fixes and conduct re-testing as needed
- Work closely with developers and product managers to resolve issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester
- Proven experience testing e-commerce platforms or applications
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with test case management tools
- Experience working with issue tracking tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with cross-browser and mobile testing
Nice to Have:
- Experience in API testing using Postman
- Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
- Knowledge of automation tools is a plus but not required
- Exposure to platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom-built e-commerce systems
The successful candidate will have a solid background in manual testing, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of ensuring high-quality software releases.
