Job Overview

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Automation Project Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

This position provides a unique opportunity to enhance professional growth and development in a dynamic environment. As an Automation Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to on-site commissioning and client handover.

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Ensure smooth project execution, from planning to delivery, and maintain stakeholder communication throughout.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign responsibilities and allocate resources for automation, control, and energy management data acquisition applications.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project expenses within approved budgets, maintaining accurate tracking documentation and variances.
  • Scope Definition: Collaborate with senior management to define project scope, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Work Planning: Develop detailed work plans identifying activities required to complete projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain open communication channels with global/local stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly report project progress to senior managers and division managers, making adjustments as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Document Creation: Develop project documents against strict timeframes, conforming to client standards.
  • Negotiation: Facilitate negotiations with local/global contractors and suppliers for materials and services.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion through effective issue resolution and follow-up.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Organization and Prioritization: Demonstrate efficient organization and prioritization skills, handling multiple tasks effectively.
  • PLC Systems Knowledge: Possess a knowledgeable background across various hardware and software PLC systems.
  • Global Client/Vendor Communication: Ability to work effectively with global clients and vendors.
  • Qualifications: Hold an Electrical/Automation/Control Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills necessary to lead projects successfully.
What We Offer

Vertiv offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and the requirements of the role.
