Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality BIM models and technical documentation for various mechanical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using Revit MEP software, incorporating design markups and CAD drawings.
  • Prepare 2D sheets from Revit models as per client standards, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Conduct clash detection and expunge clashes within and between services using Navisworks Manage software.
  • Coordinate with ASMEP services, adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
  • Create cable tray routing and containment routing plans.
  • Design and create parametric families, schedules, and construction documents using Revit MEP.
  • Work collaboratively in BIM 360 Collaboration and ACC platforms.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD and REVIT, with expertise in setup, maintenance, and processing projects, files, families, and worksets.
  • Detailed understanding of Revit's capabilities and functionalities.
  • Proficiency in clash detection using Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical codes and plumbing codes is a plus.
  • HVAC design knowledge is desired.
  • Ability to create coordinated plant room models and detailed setting out, sectional, and builders work layouts for mechanical services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Revit BIM Professional.
  • 4-5 years of experience in the MEP construction field.
  • Engineering or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
