Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and prepare biological samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests to obtain accurate results.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as necessary.
- Document and report test results in a timely manner.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies when needed.
- Assist in the development and improvement of laboratory procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate results and findings to physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training and mentorship of junior staff members.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure test accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Respond to inquiries regarding laboratory tests and results.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Certification from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technician program.
- State licensure, if required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Experience with various laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Ability to interpret and analyze test data effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
- Continuous learning attitude and willingness to pursue further training.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
- Problem-solving skills to address and troubleshoot laboratory issues.
