As a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role, this position requires an experienced professional with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to lead the design and development of next-generation RESTful APIs and event-driven services.

Job Description

This role is responsible for working closely with Subject Matter Experts, developers, technical project managers, principal engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet business/customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of robust solutions to hard problems while considering scale, security, reliability, and cost.
  • Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions.
  • Work with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development.
  • Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code.
  • Participate in daily team standup meetings and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Key Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with experience in cloud computing.
  • Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model.
  • Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
  • Strong understanding and experience building multithreaded applications focusing on asynchronous parallel processing.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS SDK and proficiency in leveraging AWS services.
  • Proficient in working with the SAM (Serverless Application Model) framework and Lambda functions using Java.
Education:
  • College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
