Lead Oracle DBA for Large-Scale Migration Projects

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the migration of large-scale databases across various platforms. As a Lead Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire migration lifecycle, from assessment and planning to execution and post-migration optimization.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments. They should also possess excellent leadership and project management skills to ensure successful migrations with minimal downtime and seamless delivery.

  • Assess and plan database migration projects to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices to achieve zero or near-zero downtime.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across Data Center-to-Data Center, AWS-to-AWS cloud setups, Azure-to-Azure cloud setups, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environments.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik for backup orchestration and recovery and RMAN for backup/restore operations.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Recovery Vaults).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning.
