Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Boston Technology Corporation. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture strategies that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define data architecture strategy that aligns with business goals for AI use cases and ensures data availability and accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
  • Evaluate and select technologies for data engineering and AI/ML.
  • Execute proof of concept and proof of value for various technology solutions and frameworks.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, AI/ML, and GenAI, and make recommendations for their adoption.
  • Lead a team of data architects and data engineers, and coordinate with vendors and technology partners.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with executives, stakeholders, and business teams to articulate the business value of the architecture strategy.
Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
  • Strong experience in data engineering tools such as Talend, Databricks, and HVR.
  • Working knowledge of data build tools, Azure Data Factory, CI/CD, automated testing, data lakes, data warehouses, big data, Collibra, and Unity Catalog.
  • Basic knowledge of building analytics applications using Azure Purview, Power BI, Spotfire, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Conceptualize and design end-to-end solutions for sourcing data, pre-processing data, feature stores, model development, evaluation, deployment, and governance.
  • Define model development best practices, create POVs on emerging AI trends, drive proposal responses, and help solve complex analytics problems.
  • Thorough understanding of database, streaming, and analytics services offered by popular cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and hands-on implementation of building machine learning pipelines with at least one of the popular cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in Large Language Model, with exposure to implementing generative AI using ChatGPT/Open AI and other models.
  • Good understanding of statistical analysis, data analysis, and knowledge of data management and visualization techniques.
  • Exposure to other AI platforms and products (Kore.ai, expert.ai, Dataiku) is desired.
  • Hands-on development experience in Python/R is a must, and additional hands-on experience in other procedural/object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#, C++) is desirable.
  • Leadership skills to drive AI/ML-related conversations and make impactful presentations to customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in project management, particularly in executing projects using Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Customer focus and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • BE or MTech (BSc or MSc) in engineering, sciences, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Total 13+ years of experience and 10+ years of experience in building/managing/administrating data and analytics applications.
