Forensic Medicine Faculty Position

We seek a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our Department of Forensic Medicine as a faculty member.

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.
  • Conduct lectures, practical sessions, autopsy demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials.
  • Guide PG students in dissertation work, case discussions, and journal clubs.
  • Integrate forensic principles with clinical and legal practice.
  • Update curriculum and teaching materials as per NMC guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Forensic Medicine, excellent teaching and mentoring abilities, and research aptitude with publication track records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic & Teaching: Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.
  • Research & Publications: Undertake and guide original research projects in forensic pathology, toxicology, medical jurisprudence, and allied fields.
  • Clinical / Medico-Legal Work: Supervise and conduct medicolegal autopsies and postmortem examinations.
  • Administrative & Leadership: Organize academic events such as CMEs, workshops, and training programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MD (Forensic Medicine) with at least 8 years teaching experience, including 3 years as Associate Professor (as per NMC norms), plus research publications.
  • Ability to provide medico-legal expertise with accuracy and integrity.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with law enforcement and judiciary.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong academic, clinical, and medico-legal knowledge.
  • Excellent teaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Research aptitude with publication track record.
