Identity Cloud Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Identity Cloud Architect to join our growing IAM team. As a technical lead and subject matter expert, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Okta Identity Cloud features in complex enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Okta Identity Cloud, including hands-on experience with architecture, implementation, integration, and support of Okta-based solutions. You will work closely with client stakeholders, engineering teams, and security leads to define access control strategies and identity workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure Okta Identity Cloud features including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, and API access management.
  • Integrate Okta with various applications using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and other protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to authentication, authorization, and provisioning.
  • Conduct health checks, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Okta environments.
  • Develop documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and runbooks.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of overall experience in IAM with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and API security.
  • Experience with Okta Workflows, custom scripting, and identity automation.
  • Familiarity with integrating Okta with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, and Office 365.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO27001, and GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Consultant are a strong advantage.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with adjacent IAM tools such as SailPoint, Saviynt, or CyberArk.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for automation and customization.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native IAM practices.
