About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe System Administrator to join our team at Kyndryl Solutions Private Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of IBMi (AS/400) systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Monitor system health, identify potential issues, and take corrective action to prevent downtime
- Job Scheduling: Create, manage, and monitor scheduled jobs using tools like Robot, Advanced, and Native schedulers
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and restart failed jobs, ensuring they complete successfully
- Backup and Recovery: Perform and manage backups, and ensure data is recoverable in case of a disaster
- User Support: Provide timely support to users, resolving their issues efficiently
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in IBMi/AS400 Operations
- In-depth knowledge of IBMi (AS/400) systems, including system architecture, LPAR, and OS versions
- Troubleshooting and technical experience related to IBM i
- Ability to work in 24/7 rotational shifts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
