Unlock the Potential of Lateral Flow Assay Development

As a leading organization in the field of biotechnology, we are seeking an experienced Lateral Flow Assay Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotechnology, biochemistry or a related field, with hands-on experience in LFA development from conception to validation.

The selected individual will be responsible for designing and developing new LFAs, optimizing assay performance, and troubleshooting complex issues. They will also conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different LFA materials and techniques, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate complex scientific data clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. Additionally, you must have minimum 2-3+ years of direct LFA development experience in academia, IVD or medical device industry. Expert-level hands-on experience with nanoparticle bioconjugation, particularly gold nanoparticles, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop New LFAs: Create innovative and effective LFA designs that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Optimize Assay Performance: Conduct thorough experiments to optimize LFA performance, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Identify and resolve complex problems related to LFA development, using analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate Scientific Data: Clearly and concisely present complex scientific data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3+ years of direct LFA development experience in academia, IVD or medical device industry.
  • Skills: Expert-level hands-on experience with nanoparticle bioconjugation, particularly gold nanoparticles.
  • Other Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing LFAs for whole blood samples, including on-board buffer integration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines relevant to IVD product development (e.g., ISO 13485).
  • Experience with advanced analytical techniques for characterizing nanoparticles (e.g., DLS, Zeta Potential, TEM, UV-Vis Spectroscopy).
