Product Leader Job Description

The role of a Product Leader is to oversee the development and implementation of product strategies, driving innovation and growth within the organization.

  • Define and manage product roadmaps to align with business objectives and vision.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of credit, debit, prepaid, and forex for issuing products, and merchant life cycle, clearing, settlement, payment, reconciliation, chargebacks/disputes for acquiring products.
  • Lead product lifecycle management, from conceptualization to launch and continued evaluation, preparing and evaluating business cases/models for new business, new product development/enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, analyze industry trends, and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Represent product lines in periodic reviews with leadership to drive investment and resource allocation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define business requirements for delivery, working closely with Engineering and Architecture teams.
  2. Partner with business teams to undertake market and customer research initiatives.
  3. Cross-functionally work with Program Management, Sales, Marketing, Service Excellence, Legal & Compliance to create a well-defined go-to-market plan.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal/external defined policy framework guidelines.
  5. Drive product performance metrics focusing on profitability, customer growth, engagement, and retention.

Key Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in product leadership or related field.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation and growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
