Job Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Coding Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records and extracting significant information. You will transform healthcare diagnoses, procedures, and medical services into universal medical alphanumeric codes.

Responsibilities:

  • Review all bill lines for accuracy, specifically CPT and HCPCS codes.
  • Compare mechanism of injury (relatedness).
  • Review CPT code translation for non-standard bills - Assess the accuracy of the medical records and bill service lines.
  • Validate the appropriateness of the associated fees.
  • Assess bill against customer guidelines.
  • Identifying charges that are outside of state fee schedule and recoding where needed.
  • Review provider and claim match against client provider database and client claim database

Requirements:

  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Sound understanding of medical claims.
  • ICD-10 trained/and or certified.
