Senior Backend Developer

About this role

This is an opportunity to build the backend infrastructure of a pioneering Bitcoin wallet – one that offers speed, polish, and security.

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to create high-performance APIs and real-time services for instant transactions, swaps, and approvals.

  • Create low-latency APIs and real-time services for seamless user experiences
  • Oversight of backend integrations with partner systems
    • Design and maintain a reliable ledger and state machine for secure money movement
      • Develop a policy engine for approval processes, limits, and time-based controls
        • Evaluate and optimize system performance, reliability, and observability in production environments

Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems
    • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Kotlin programming languages
      • Familiarity with asynchronous I/O, queues, retries, and state machines
        • Database expertise (Postgres, Redis) and modeling for data consistency
          • A proven track record of owning systems end-to-end (from design to deployment)
            • Experience with building highly available and secure systems
