Building Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Building Designer to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our infrastructure consulting firm, you will work on various construction projects, including commercial, educational, industrial, and healthcare-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project-specific implementation strategies and collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM success by standardizing and documenting Revit workflows and best practices.
  • Handle BIM projects with the help of team members and take responsibility for delivering the BIM model, drawings with the required quality, and create and maintain BIM models for project-specific requirements.
  • Identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information, and discuss with the engineering team and coordinate with other discipline teams.
  • Attend or manage model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction BIM meetings.
  • Create new library components and maintain them once the project is over.
  • Provide ongoing support for all BIM applications and work closely with the design team to generate BIM documents for submission for construction bidding purposes and participate in structure coordination phases of projects when Revit models are required for clash detection.
  • Maintain BIM standards and design templates to ensure quality and consistency of the design environment and deliverables throughout various offices worldwide.
  • Review and QA/QC project deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent education in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute, or university.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well independently at times.
  • Able to see the bigger picture and take a bird's-eye view of projects.
  • Confident with the ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Accountability for assigned work.
  • Accuracy and precision of work.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
