Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team. The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, including middleware, database administration, networking, and systems architecture. This role requires leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, and a proactive approach to manage, support, and optimize infrastructure services.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure supports business needs and growth. Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage infrastructure systems, including network, databases, and middleware solutions.
2. Manage and optimize Oracle databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and high availability.
3. Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities for all critical infrastructure components.
4. Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
5. Work with middleware solutions (e.g., WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, or similar) to ensure efficient deployment and integration with other systems.
6. Collaborate with DevOps, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure meets business needs and performance targets.
7. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior infrastructure team members.
8. Ensure proper monitoring, security, and compliance across all infrastructure layers.
9. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure solutions, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
10. Lead incident and problem management activities, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
11. Implement and manage automation processes for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven Experience: 8+ years in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Middleware Expertise: Hands-on experience with middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Apache, Nginx, or similar.
• Oracle DBA Skills: Extensive experience in managing and optimizing Oracle databases (including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery strategies).
• Networking Skills: Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching. Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
• Infrastructure Management: Strong background in managing physical and virtual infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar), and data center operations.
• Automation & Scripting: Proficient in using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Operating Systems: Expertise in both Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
• Security Knowledge: In-depth understanding of security best practices related to infrastructure, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and lead a team, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
