Job Title: Power Systems Designer

We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Designer to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical building services, primarily for railway stations and other railway buildings.
  • This will include designing low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt), including UPS sources, as well as operating industry-standard software to produce design results.
  • A key aspect of the role will be designing general and emergency lighting systems, with a good working knowledge of different lighting types and sources.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience using industry-standard lighting design software to design general and emergency lighting systems.
  • In addition to designing cable management systems (CMS) and preparing CMS sizing calculations, the successful candidate will also present designs onto schematic and 2D layout drawings.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of BIM and experience working within a Common Data Environment.
  • Other responsibilities will include supervising and verifying the work performed by designers/models to meet project requirements, as well as interpreting client specification requirements written in English to develop designs.
