Job Opportunity

We are committed to discovering and developing novel therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices for diseases with a high socio-economic impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes.
  • Analyse SAR and optimize potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs.
  • Purify and characterise compounds.
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimise reaction conditions.
  • Mentor junior colleagues.
  • Record lab activities accurately and contribute to technical reports.
  • Collaborate with analytical teams as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Organic Chemistry or related field.
  • PhD in organic chemistry.
  • Postdoctoral experience in organic chemistry (optional).
  • 0-4 years' experience working on bench, preferably in industry.
Technical and Soft Skills:
  • Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimisation, and compound isolation.
  • Proficient in chromatography (TLC, column, flash), spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC), and purification techniques (recrystallisation, precipitation).
  • High level of creativity and productivity with strong synthetic chemistry problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organic synthesis, conversant with current literature.
  • Effective oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with reaction databases.
  • Proficiency using MS Office applications required.
