NDT Supervisor

At RINA, we are seeking a highly skilled NDT Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the integrity and quality of our NDT projects.

• Ensure that NDT contractors are using calibrated equipment.
• Check the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Suggest best hot spots for NDT of pipelines/vessels as per DNV guidelines.
• Ensure that NDT contractors follow correct procedures.

The NDT Supervisor will be responsible for developing and reviewing safety inspection regimes for all types of vessels, as well as developing and reviewing specific inspection checklists and procedures for each type of vessel used in offshore operations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing bridging documents to ensure best safety practices are complied with, vetting technical specifications to ensure vessels meet required ONGC work scope, and reviewing certification of vessels and crew.

Additionally, the NDT Supervisor will be responsible for conducting inspections at the time of charter hire/operation/repairs/dry docking for vessels, as well as conducting safety audits/periodic inspections of vessels during their contract period.

The NDT Supervisor will also be responsible for witnessing and reporting on repair works on vessels as per ONGC instructions, carrying out full sea trials and machinery trials to confirm vessel capability, and maintaining records/database of surveys and certification of vessels and crew details.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting surprise/random inspections/audits of vessels, reviewing towing plans/procedures for rig move, monitoring vessel movements via VTMS, and monitoring the performance of vessels.

The NDT Supervisor will also be responsible for liaison with DG shipping and other statutory authorities, monsoon preparedness of vessels for safe operations, briefing and training to ship crew for safe operations, managing vessel assistance in case of contingency situations, and any other work related to Marine Safety Cell.
