About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and maintenance of our animation and visual effects pipeline. As the Pipeline Technical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pipeline tools and workflows, working closely with SMEs to deliver high-quality Animation and VFX campaigns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pipeline strategy, incorporating input from Production and Product teams.
  • Collaborate with Ops, Production, and Tech teams to identify and address pipeline challenges and areas for improvement.
  • Design and develop customized tools and workflows to automate processes, optimize efficiency, and enhance productivity.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex pipeline issues and drive process improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Animation and Visual Effects, with a strong understanding of pipeline workflows and processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and SQL.
  • Experience with developing tools and plugins for DCC software packages like Maya, Nuke, Houdini, and Shotgrid.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
