Job Title: Cost Manager

About the Role:

A Cost Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects. This involves managing costs, preparing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Scope Validation:
  • Validating project scope in line with design requirements to ensure accurate cost estimation and budget management.
  • Technical Specifications Review:
  • Reviewing technical specifications received from the design team to optimize project costs without compromising on client requirements.
  • BOQ Validation:
  • Validating bill of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Cost Analysis:
  • Preparing and submitting different budget options considering alternative solutions to actual design.
  • RA Bills Checking:
  • Checking and validating request for action (RA) bills and final bills to ensure accurate costing.
  • Amendment Preparation:
  • Preparation of amendments to project scope and budgets as required.
  • Budget Optimization:
  • Identifying opportunities for budget optimization without compromising on quality or timelines.
  • Cost Reporting:
  • Preparing and presenting regular cost reports to management highlighting key findings and recommendations.
