Electrical Transmission System Expert

Our company is seeking a skilled HVDC and FACTS Specialist.

• Conduct thorough testing of software and hardware for control and protection systems in HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard environments.
• Test primary electrical equipment in HVAC/HVDC Switchyards, ensuring optimal performance.
• Develop and program numerical protection relays, preferably from the Siemens SIPROTEC family.
• Perform factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests according to established procedures for HVDC/FACTS C&P systems at both factory and site locations.
• Provide technical service support at customer sites for HVDC and FACTS-related issues.
• Update engineering documentation and drawings following completion of factory and site tests.
• Engage in extensive travel to customer project sites and interact with customers regularly.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in software programming and electronic circuitry.
• Manage and develop profitability strategies for HVDC and FACTS spares business.
• Ensure all business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, maintaining services to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Respond to customer inquiries by understanding technical requirements, preparing offers that cater to customer needs technically and commercially.
• Oversee complete offer management and order execution for spare parts business, including regular follow-ups with vendors and timely delivery of materials to customer sites.
• Attend customer meetings to discuss proposals, understand technical issues, and suggest possible solutions aligned with field service.
• Regularly meet with sales teams to discuss ongoing offers and explore business opportunities.
• Drive initiatives to expand the service business and capture new avenues.
• Coordinate Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities for the HDVC and FACTS services portfolio.
• Oversee project activities from conceptualization to execution, including technical specifications, stage inspections, progress monitoring, vendor management, and manpower planning.
• Experience in preparing offers and proposals for HVDC and FACTS products, managing material movement, and supervising site operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare cost-optimized technical solutions meeting customer expectations.
• Prepare techno-commercial offers and proactively follow up with regions/customers for technical and commercial closure.
• Submit clarifications and offer responses meeting customer deadlines while adhering to internal processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of software and hardware testing for control and protection systems in HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard environments.
• Advantageous to have experience with HVDC/FACS systems.
• Proficiency in testing and programming numerical protection relays.
• Must be technically sound to communicate directly with customers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to multitask and work under time pressure.
• Very good technical knowledge of HVDC and FACTS technologies.
• Clear understanding of the entire offer-testing and commissioning process of HVDC and FACTS Substation.
• Team player with high commitment to going beyond extra mile.
• Good knowledge of Cyber Security, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as working knowledge of MS Office tools like MS Projects and Power BI.
• Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multinational and multicultural team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with foreign language expertise an added advantage.
