Bridge Engineering Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to undertake assessments of existing bridges and prepare comprehensive reports.


Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair of bridges.
  • Prepare new bridge design and strengthening design to UK standards ensuring compliance with appropriate design and health and safety standards.
  • Conduct design and assessment checks under the guidance of a Senior or Principal Engineer.
  • Compile drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines.
  • Ensure correct implementation of document control and QA processes.
  • Produce work to specified design standards and suggest revisions as necessary.
  • Comply with relevant British and European Standards.
  • Develop and increase skills in MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE and other computer aided design software.
  • Participate in team meetings and learning sessions to disseminate information and communicate with other teams.

A proactive team worker and self-motivated learner who can adapt to the requirements of the role.
