Your responsibilities will include: Network Monitoring & Reporting, Firewall & Security Operations, Device Configuration & Backup, Access & User Management, Load Balancer Operations, Incident & Change Management and Cloud & Virtualization Awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring & Reporting: ISP/DC/DR/MPLS/P2P link monitoring (hourly/daily).
  • Availability & utilization reporting.
  • Preparing & maintaining network device inventory.
  • Firewall & Security Operations: Firewall access management (DC/DR/MPLS/Cloud).
  • IP whitelisting, blocking malware IPs as per SOC.
  • Firewall rule base reviews.
  • NIPS/IPS log monitoring & signature deployment.
  • Device Configuration & Backup: Taking and restoring backups of DC/DR/HO/NDR network devices.
  • VLAN modifications on L2 switches.
  • Network device password reset.
  • Access & User Management: Domain ID & VPN deactivation for on-role/off-role users.
  • Admin access review & reporting.
  • Load Balancer Operations: Backup & rule configuration on LB.
  • Creating new application rules.
  • Incident & Change Management: Handling L1 incidents via mails/calls.
  • Preparing & implementing RFCs.
  • Coordinating with OEM for troubleshooting.
  • Cloud & Virtualization Awareness: Exposure to AWS & Azure firewall/security.
  • Understanding of ACI/AVS switch installation.
