Job Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Application Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing solutions for application tasks in the field of welding and joining of materials according to specific customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective solutions for complex application tasks in plastics welding technology, including design of VIB, US, HP, IR welding technology, materials used, weldability, and costs.
  • Collaborate with European application specialists on joint projects to drive innovation and improve process efficiency.
  • Provide expert application support in metal welding, ensuring high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct customer consultations and training based on specific requirements, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Actively participate in prospecting new customers and applications for our products, identifying growth opportunities and driving business development.
  • Oversee laboratory operations and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to solving application problems across various departments (Automotive, Tools, Horn), leveraging expertise and knowledge to drive cross-functional collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as plastic materials, plastics technology, or plastics joining.
  • At least 2 years of experience in industry, preferably in plastics-related roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD/CAM programs, with experience in NX preferable.
  • Familiarity with Tracepro-optical simulations and FEA experiences.
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills, with the ability to understand technical documentation and knowledge of technical materials.
  • Willingness to learn and travel within the Central Europe region, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
