Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the enterprise data warehouse runs efficiently, performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. They will design and implement dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas) to facilitate efficient querying and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the EDW is running smoothly by performing regular maintenance tasks.
  • Design and develop complex dimensional models to support business intelligence requirements.
  • Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to maintain high data quality and integrity.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and develop technical requirement documents.
  • Prepare detailed project plans and estimates based on custom requirements.
  • Engage in business meetings to understand and review the feasibility of business requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis of functional flows, provide solution designs, perform proof-of-concepts, and demonstrate solutions.
  • Work closely with Microsoft support teams to resolve business-critical issues.
  • Enhance existing Business Intelligence systems by redefining and making technical/strategic changes.
  • Provide post-implementation support to resolve production issues or maintenance activities, involving change management processes as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ETL processes, and other relevant procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with SQL, database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), and ETL tools (e.g., ADF, SSIS).
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or any branch of engineering.
