Manufacturing Operations Leader Sought
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Leader to join our team and drive operational excellence in the production of electronic components.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMT/PCB assembly and experience in leading large-scale plant operations, with a proven track record in greenfield project execution and setup.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain management. You will also develop and implement manufacturing strategies to drive business outcomes and ensure smooth ramp-up and stabilization of greenfield projects or capacity expansions.
You will manage high-volume SMT lines and PCB assembly processes, with a focus on yield improvement and defect reduction. Additionally, you will implement best-in-class practices for electronics manufacturing, including reflow soldering, wave soldering, and AOI/X-ray inspections.
Collaboration with engineering and quality teams is crucial, as you will support NPI and process engineering initiatives. You will also lead end-to-end greenfield project execution, from land acquisition to commissioning, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, within-budget, and compliant execution.
A key aspect of this role is driving strict adherence to quality standards (ISO/TS/IEC/IPC) and ensuring robust QMS implementation. You will promote a zero-defect, continuous improvement culture and build and lead a high-performance team across production, maintenance, and engineering functions.
Required skills and qualifications include 18+ years of progressive experience in plant operations, with a strong focus on SMT/PCB assembly in electronics/consumer durable sectors. A proven track record in greenfield project execution and large-scale plant setup is essential, along with deep understanding of electronics manufacturing technologies, tools, and best practices.
Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills are necessary, as well as experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and manufacturing analytics. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Industry , and automation is a plus.
