Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure and Databricks, with experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines. He or she will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
  • Work with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for CI/CD and environment management.
  • Build and manage scalable ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and technologies in Databricks and Azure.
  • Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to ensure a robust, maintainable, and strategic data ecosystem.
  • Mentor team members to improve overall team productivity and technical capability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 5 years hands-on experience in Azure and Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in Databricks (Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles, MLflow basics), Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL), Python, SQL, Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architectures, including Lakehouse and governance.
  • Proven track record of efficient delivery and helping teams accelerate execution.
