Leading a team of experts on the IBM i / AS/400 platform, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring their timely completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your in-depth knowledge of RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts to drive project success.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement change.
  • Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions using STRDBG, job logs, and error analysis.
  • Design and implement efficient batch jobs, interactive screens, menus, and subfiles that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate and improve file-based integrations and data exchange formats (EDI, XML, CSV) to enhance system performance.
  • Implement Change Management tools (Aldon, Turnover, Rocket) to streamline project workflow and ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business workflows in the supply chain or retail domain and develop API development skills on IBM i using Open Access or web services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience on IBM i / AS/400 platform.
  • Strong expertise in the retail domain.
  • Proven track record of creating modular projects and promoting code reuse.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
