Job Title: Data Lifecycle Management Specialist

Overview of the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Lifecycle Management Specialist to support our organization's data management activities across multiple business divisions.

This role involves data retention, archiving, disposition requirements, risk management, and documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist in identifying risks, and help ensure compliance with data management policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and document data retention, archiving, and disposition requirements.
  • Conduct analysis and regular reviews with business and technology teams.
  • Identify and mitigate data management risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Compile and track progress on implementation of data management strategies.
  • Represent the DLM team in cross-functional meetings, communicating key policies and requirements.
  • Develop process improvements and collaborate with teams to implement business and technical solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years' experience in data management, information management, or a related field (e.g., financial services).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail and ability to document complex data management requirements.
  • Experience in business analysis, process improvement, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Nice to Have

The following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of data protection/privacy regulations and experience with data privacy laws.
  • Familiarity with database/cloud technologies, AI, and reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Experience with large-scale data sets.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to document complex data management requirements.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience in business analysis, process improvement, and working with cross-functional teams.
