Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned system architect to lead the design, development, and support of Progress OpenEdge 4GL-based Financial Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, develop, deploy, and maintain Progress OpenEdge RDBMS-based financial systems.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and finance teams to gather requirements and execute implementations.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues, perform routine enhancements, and ensure system performance.
  • Conduct system monitoring and support patch deployments and upgrades.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge 4GL and RDBMS on Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Proficiency in Consuming web services, Integrating Microsoft Office with Progress 4GL, Fathom Replication implementation, and Installing and monitoring Progress RDBMS.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes such as Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets, Depreciation, and Asset Tracking.
  • Experience integrating with Oracle Financials and SEPA banking systems.
  • Solid documentation and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles, especially Incident and Change Management.
  • Background in managed service or enterprise IT support environments.
