Raw Material Inventory Manager

The Job Overview:

This position involves overseeing the daily operations of a raw material store to ensure accurate and compliant inventory management.

Main Responsibilities:

">
  • Coordinate receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance for raw materials.
  • Maintain proper labeling, identification, and storage of all raw materials as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to guarantee timely availability of raw materials without disrupting production.
  • Maintain a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) system for material issuance.
  • Monitor storage conditions to preserve material quality.
  • E nsure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other relevant regulations for raw material handling.
  • Manage documentation including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), stock registers, bin cards, and SAP entries.
  • Identify slow-moving or expired raw materials and coordinate their disposal.
  • Support audits by verifying documentation accuracy and ensuring the store's readiness.
  • Train and supervise store assistants on material handling and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing raw material stores, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques and principles.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory compliance regarding raw material handling.
