
Forensic Investigation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Investigative Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional investigative skills, experience with fraud examination, and the ability to lead complex investigations.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into various matters, including corporate fraud, misconduct, compliance violations, security breaches, or other incidents.
- They will oversee all aspects of the investigation process, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and delivering actionable findings and recommendations to senior management or relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out end-to-end investigations by ensuring adherence to prescribed investigative methodologies and proper planning on all investigations.
- Obtain relevant evidence, scrutinize/analyze it, and make meaningful observations/conclusions regarding the findings, along with appropriate recommendations.
- Interview witnesses/suspects and victims, obtaining written statements where necessary.
- Compile investigation reports containing the findings of investigations, adhering to prescribed operating methodology.
- Ensure accurate, value-adding conclusions for each investigation, making meaningful recommendations including system/people/process failures or internal/external threats.
- Assist reporting manager/HoD and other teams (e.g., HR) with relevant findings/documentation for use in disciplinary processes.
- Conclude each investigation within the prescribed and acceptable time limit for the particular type of investigation.
- Inform management of suggestions/proposals to enhance investigative methodology/operating procedure.
- Collect timely intelligence to avert fraud and security incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Academic qualifications: Chartered Accountant, MBA (in Finance and Risk Management)
- Professional qualifications: Hold a professional qualification in a relevant field such as CFE.
- Desired work experience: Minimum 6-10 years of professional experience with investigatory procedures and practice.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Professional Investigator) are a plus.
- Preferred experience in Pharma or Big 4 (Investigation) or any other industry is preferred.
- Experience in handling Hot-line/Integrity & Ethics line.
- Expertise in investigation procedures & techniques along with relevant legal implications.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
