About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Taxation Specialist to manage and support our tax & regulatory function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all necessary compliances in the area of taxation, including direct and indirect taxes. This role involves managing overseas taxation and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business models and product structures that align with our company's vision.

  • Formulate internal opinions on tax positions and provide guidance to stakeholders.

  • Establish and refine processes for direct and indirect taxation related compliances.

  • Track and resolve litigations, ensuring timely decision-making and course correction.

  • Prepare basis and grounds for litigations with authorities.

  • Engage with tax consultants to discuss litigations and historical tax positions.

  • Oversee direct and indirect tax audits and returns filing administrative aspects.

  • Ensure accurate financial information and book-keeping records.

  • Manage a team of two people to deliver these responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Candidates must hold a CA qualification with 4+ years of post-qualification experience in taxation.

  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, accounting, and transfer pricing.

  • Prior experience in a Multinational Company or industry knowledge is preferred.

  • Big4 accounting firms' background is also considered.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and geographies.

  • A hands-on approach with attention to details.
