Job Title: Advanced Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust network solutions to support the organization's business objectives.

Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality network services, ensuring seamless connectivity across our global footprint. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in configuration or deployment methodology, contributing to the development, testing, distribution, and documentation of networking technologies and solutions.

Achieving this goal requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and a working knowledge of industry-leading products such as Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches and Palo Alto firewalls. Experience with Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN), specifically Prisma SD-WAN, is highly valued. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of IP protocols, wireless network standards (802.11x), Layer 2 switching, STP, and basic BGP principles.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, local and regional carriers, and ITSM platforms. Proficiency in diagramming tools like Lucidchart and Visio is essential for creating accurate network diagrams and visualizing complex solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive monitoring and management of network solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of cutting-edge networking technologies and solutions.
  • Training and handover of engineered solutions to operational support teams.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues through process and data analysis.
  • Escalating critical issues in a timely manner to the team lead for support, approval, and/or resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on senior-level roles.
  • Expert-level knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and devices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and ITIL frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
