As a Scientific Graphic Designer, you will combine science expertise with design skills to produce accurate and visually appealing materials. Your work will include illustrations, graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and more.

About the Role

  • Develop impactful graphical abstracts that represent the essence of a scientific study.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Create storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Generate initial sketches to illustrate visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients.
  • Review peers' and freelancers' outputs to ensure delivery-ready materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Ph.D. degree in STEM fields (Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science into visually engaging output.
  • Advanced Adobe Design Suite skills (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Experience in scientific publishing & science communication landscape.
