Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure that all network devices, systems, and protocols are properly configured and maintained to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution: Respond promptly to network-related incidents, analyzing and resolving complex issues efficiently to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Configuration Management: Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls, to ensure secure and reliable operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, processes, and procedures to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support overall infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
  • Security Enforcement: Implement and maintain network security policies to safeguard against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Upgrade & Update Planning: Plan and execute network upgrades, firmware updates, and patches to ensure systems are secure, stable, and up to date.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate performance reports to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent field of study.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.), experience with cloud networking solutions, SDN technologies, and network automation tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking solutions and SDN technologies.
  • Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and implementing security policies.
  • Load Balancing: Proficiency in managing F5 Load Balancers for high availability and traffic distribution.
  • Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting using Python.
  • Routing & Switching: Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark for network monitoring and diagnostics.
